I turned 25 last Thursday, November 22.
I wanted to celebrate, as in CELEBRATE, my birthday for a number of reasons:
1) I wanted to be thankful. Really. Celebration is about gratitude, baby. Despite all the shit things, it's important to be truly, sincerely grateful for all the other not-shit things. Thank you, Lord for the wild ride that was the past year, and the wilder rides yet to come. I messed up, grew up, got down on my knees and I'll be damned if I don't drink to that.
2) I wanted to be surrounded by friends, family and the people who matter most to me. They are some of the most amazing and most beautiful people I've ever had the privilege of knowing. This party is just as much about them as it is about me.
3) I just wanted to dress up and party like a rakstar! Baket ba. I'm 25 years old and so I shall party like a 25-year old. Har har!
So on my party, I was grateful, I was surrounded by the people who mean the world to me, and yes, I got all dressed up and partied like there's no tomorrow.
Happy Birthday indeed.
