Getaway Spa

I finally tried the Getaway Spa, or G-spa for short, along Sgt.Esguerra. I've been hearing a lot about it and since my body was screaming for a massage (as in literal solid sakit na because of the scoliosis) sige, I thought I'd finally give it a shot. I opted for the sports massage since the other services I would have wanted sana, like the Japanese shiatsu massage or the Thai massage, don't use oil. I wasn't in the mood for a dry massage so I opted for the sports massage nalang. Swedish massage naman does nothing for me and my body. I always opt for harder massages with more intense pressure wherever I go.

I give the massage three and a half stars. I wasn't really that satisfied even when I asked the attendant kung pwede diinan pa. Tsaka it didn't smell nice sa locker room. Amoy locker room na locker room, as in sweaty socks and yung pinaglabahan na hindi natuyo ng maayos. I guess I was expecting mala aromatherapy or incense or something. Doh! Anyway, what you do first is you change into these orange robes and huge brown shorts and walk all the way to the second floor for your massage or treatment. Anlaki ng shorts! Ginormous khakis that I had to hold up to keep from falling. So okay, di they massaged me na. Nung patapos na yung massage, as in final minutes na, biglang umandar yung generator ata nila or something. BRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!! Parang may bulldozer sa building! Haha wasak ang anumang ambience na meron don. Oh well.

I give props to their pool and jacuzzi area though. It's intimate and cozy. Actually the whole spa looks well-designed. It's well-lit and it doesn't feel cramped, given the relatively small area. G-spa has this nice, homey charm which makes it worth going back to. The staff was friendly too, pero di naman yung super friendly na you feel smothered already. Ayos din naman yung parking. The sports massage is around Php600 at the common room and P800 at the executive room. I think I wouldn't mind trying their other treatments, like their Deep Cleansing Repair Facial or their Detox Body Massage.

First two pics were swiped from their website. That last pic is mine, I took a shot of one of their couple's rooms, hehe. This one is actually pretty bare, unlike the executive rooms where you have your own bathroom.

Next up: The Spa at Podium. I have a wedding to attend so I'm going to try their Honey Body Polish or their Sea Salt Scrub upon the recommendation of some people I know. Never ko pa na try ang The Spa considering napakalapit non samin. Yey excited!

I super duper love massages and I love trying out spas. I suppose may silbi na rin tong scolio na to. I have an excuse to try out spas and get regular massages hehe. My absolute favorite so far is Urban Spa at Shangri-La Mall. Solid sarap ng masahe don. Mejo mahal pero worth it! I haven't gone there in ages though so I'd want to go back and check out if they have new treatments. Tipid tipid lang muna ngayon dahil madami nanamang gastos. Lately I've just been having my massages done at home, care of La Muy Bien Home service massage. Masarap naman at mura pa. Pwede pa ko manood ng The Buzz habang minamasahe. Hehe.
