When I got there to the room, it was only me, Sabrina her sister (my cousin, duh) and me. As soon as I got there, the first thing I saw was her bridal gown. Omigadddd ang ganda. It was this tube dress with a huge tulle gown skirt, exquisite beadwork, a train that reaches up to about 5 feet, and a veil that stretches to about 10. I dunno how else to describe it, basta ang landi! It has all these funky details like roses and stuff. Hahaha hayluvet. "It's so you!" I told her. "Yeah I know! Everyone who's seen it is saying that!" Tish grins back.
Look!
Tish ordered beer (for me), vodka for her and Sabrina and rounds of tequila. When the waiter found out she was getting married the next day, he sent up free sushi and sashimi. Oh Lordy, beer and sashimi!!! Hay. We stayed at the bathroom for some cigs and ended up staying there the whole night.
"Are you nervous?" I ask her.
"Nope. Not at all."
"As in not even a little?"
"Well I'm a bit worried..."
"About what? Being married? Don't worry, you and Ferdi are good together and I'm sure you'll be a good wife and - "
"Hinde! I ate a lot of lechon paksiw, bwiset. Ang taba ko nanaman bukas."
Last minute consultations with Lisa, the wedding coordinator.
We drank so much and I almost stayed over but I figured di bale nalang. I wasn't even tipsy anyway.
ETO LANG.
So I was downstairs in the lobby, waiting for the valet driver to get my car. Along pulls up this Trooper that's the exact same color, exact same model as MY Trooper. So, ako naman, gaga, I just go up, give the guy my ticket, and hop over to the driver's seat. I even put on the seatbelt already! Then I heard this weird CD playing in the background and I saw this this rosary hanging by the mirror. By that time I'm like, shetttt.... I get this sinking feeling in my stomach. Suddenly these people, these total strangers, just climb onto the car and we give each other these "who are you?!?" looks.
"Ummm is this your car?" I ask these two ladies in this meek, thin voice.
"Haha yes!"
Oh my Lord!
"Oh nooO I'm so sorreeeeeee! I really thought - I just... ohmygod I'm soo sorry...."
"Haha it's okay! You have the same car?"
"Exactly the same car...."
"Haha it's all right!" the girls say. They were very nice people, God bless them.
Sheepishly I take off my seatbelt and get down from the car. A few seconds later, MY car pulls up.
When I got home, I told my dad about it. "May tawag sa mga taong ganyan..." he said, laughing.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.... Hahaha!!!! Argh!
