Rendezvous with the cousins

My cousins from Canada got back to Manila after their two-week stint around the country last Saturday. They went to Iloilo, where my dad's family is from, Boracay, Cebu, Bacolod and Bohol. Since it's their last weekend in the Philippines before they head back to Canada on Tuesday, party na ito! Di papalag ang party scene ng Manila sa Canada! So it was that at 11 pm on a Saturday night that I, Jo, Andrea and Christina headed out for a night on the town.

First up, Fig and Olive where my friend Migs was spinning. After a while dumating na sina Ariane and Robbie. Afterwards, at around 1, we all headed to Embassy where Ariane got us free entrance tickets and free access to the VIP section. Yebaaahhhh!

"Mukhang mga Ms.Earth candidates mga pinsan mo," Ariane and Robbie remarked. Haha of course! Tatangkad na, sexy pa! What can I say, they conquered the dance floor. Seryoso. All the guys were circling them like vultures. I was only too happy to sit back and watch the whole thing. Ah, my girls! I was like a proud mommy. Look but no touch boys! Behave kayo dyan. Saw Chris, Gino, Gene and other brods. Saw Mark also, my neighbor. We practically grew up together and he's like my second kuya. Protective pa rin hanggang ngayon, haha. He teased me about the times I'd go biking in my red bike with this basket and this little bell I'd always honk. Haha! We left the place 4 am na. My cousins were raving all the way home. Tama yan! From the people, to the beaches, to the food, pati the night life, Mabuhay ang Pinas!

I really didn't plan on getting in Embassy for free, much less getting into the VIP section but there it happened. I didn't count on a lot of things that night, daming behind the scenes chorva actually, but hell, I'm just so grateful for everything. Nung nandun kami sa dance floor, surrounded by friends and good music and just laughing and having a great time, naisip ko lang bigla, shet ha, in fairness, I DO have an amazing life. Hahaha! And it's not just because of all the parties, really. It's just that, with all the things that are happening in my life, I can't help but feel that somebody out there must be really watching over me.
