Happy Halloween!

Halloween this year was fun, fun, fun. The last time I truly enjoyed Halloween was when I was a kid.

Halloween festivities started off with a party at Fig and Olive in Makati. After the Pathways event last last Friday, I rushed home, changed clothes and rushed out again to pick up May and her friends Ariane and Cha. Ewan ko talaga san ko nakukuha yung energy ko ha. Di naman ako umiinom ng vitamins. I was almost considering telling May di na ko sasama sa Fig kung hindi lang namatay yung batt sa cell ko.

I'm so glad I went! That was one of the best nights ever! I always ALWAYS have a blast with my bengga girl, May. "Omigod Mia, I think I'm drunk!" Hahaha lumalabas nga talaga ang pagiging Kris Aquino pag lasheng. Paano ba naman hindi malalasing. Ariane is apparently friends with the owner so we got FREE DRINKS. Free, nonstop Vodka. Oh Lord! We got there at around midnight and stayed till four am.

Second Halloween bash was Cream Halloween Ball the night after. Hung out with Carla, Nicole and Tish, pati Pam, Blaise and Gino and other brods. Buti nalang hindi na don sa buloks na A-Venue kung san nasira yung mga aircons nung Armin Van Buuren event. This time it was at World Trade. Ang galing ng costumes nung iba. There was one couple where the guy was wearing an orange prisoner jumpsuit and the girl was sporting this sexy policewoman outfit. One girl was wearing a Pink 5 Bioman outfit, one was Cruella De Ville. Lovely, lovely. Hindi kami nakapagpicture ng mga magagandang costumes because well, we were too busy taking pictures of our vain selves. F na F, wala namang mga costume!!! Har har. We DID get those horn headbands that light up. Muntik pa kong na denggoy ng mamang nagbebenta sa kalye! Paano ba naman, 180 pesos isang headband!! Anak ng patola. Extortion! I figured what the hell, whatever, so I give him 500 bucks at muntik pa nyang tinakbo yung pera ko! Pinagbubusinahan ko nalang at buti bumalik at sinuklian ako. Later that night I learned that you can get the exact same headband for as low as 50 bucks. Arghhh! Sana multohin ang mamang manggaganchong yon.

Eto lang: Liquor ban starting 12 midnight that night because of the barangay elections. Dyosmio! However, thanks to the awesome prowess of our friends Pam and Carla, we were able to score drinks. Pam pretended she was American citizen using her trusty call-center agent accent and Carla pretended she was from Singapore. Yahoo! Kaunting diskarte lang talaga sa buhay na ito.

At one point, the bartenders were selling drinks for the right price. This tranny there gave us that little insider info that night but he/she kept shoving his/her drinks into our faces! Nyah! No thanks! Mamaya may E pa yon. Speaking of E, as usual ang dami nanamang sabog that night. There was one guy there whose eyes were rolling na, ala the girl from Exorcist. He was slumped on the floor and I thought he was going to pass out. He didn't, but he DID make out with this other gay dude, much to Carla's chagrin. Har har. Pucha just say NO to drugs! I mean, really, what for? Natural high mehn! Great music, great friends and great (if clandestinely-acquired) drinks, and solve ka na!

Third and last Halloween shebang was October 31 night at Cuisine. Pucha, artista sightings galore nanaman! We saw Aubrey Miles dressed in a Hooters outfit and her boyfriend Troy Montero in some US solider getup. We also saw Tim Yap, hahaha, and in fairness to him he really got into the Halloween spirit and donned an Optimus Prime costume. Bumped into Dingdong Dantes and his girlfriend Kaye too. He remembers me!!! Yebah! He called my name and asked how my brother was. He and my older brother are high school friends. Ang gwapo mo Sergio ha.

By the way, na TV ako! Hahaha! ABS CBN was covering the event sa Cuisine and they took a shot of Aubrey Miles dressed in her Hooters outfit. Guess who was sitting at the next table? Moi! Mwahaha. Talaga naman. Lumabas ako sa TV Patrol for like, one second. Haha.

Thank you thank you Lord for all these things. They were a good prelude to the more somber, more mellow mood of All Souls' day.
