Last Saturday, my cousin Tish had her bridal shower at the Stone Room of Victoria Court Suites, Pasig. It was a blast, pero nalasing ang bride! Haha! Pass out ang guest of honor.
Teri and I were the hosts and we did the usual shower games. One game was making the best penis out of clay and the other one was the 20 questions game, where we asked Tish and Ferdi , her husband-to-be, the same things. Everytime Tish got a wrong answer, she had to take a shot of Tequila.
The best part was, we got one of Tish's exes to come to the shower! Won't mention the name here, kasi we nevahh knowwww, baka for some absolutely bizarre reason, whatisface's wife (yes he's alreadly married!) stumbles onto this blog and goes "Huwaatttt?! Sabi mo bibili ka lang ng beer dyan sa kanto!" Hehe. He even asked us not to take pictures. O sya sya, tutal he was so nice to come to the shower anyway. Tish was so surprised she's like "What the hell are you doing here?!" Hahaha!
Of course, the evening wouldn't have been complete if not for the finale, the awesome dancing stylistics of "Brix" the stripper. I first enlisted his services when I arranged the bridal shower of my friend Nicole. I availed of his services again syempre. Dyosme, ilan ba ang kilala kong stripper? Haha san naman ulit ako hahanap non? The first time I needed a stripper, aynako, endless texting brigades talaga ang even plans to go around gay bars! Finally, a friend of a friend of a friend gave me his number the night before Nicole's shower. Hay thank you Lord, I didn't have to go to gay bars afer all! So anyway dun nalang ulit ako sa tried and tested. Brix gave me a discount since I'm a "loyal customer" already. ! Yipee! Before pa lang, Tish was like, "Sabihin mo sa kanya Mela ha... gawin na nya lahat, wag lang nya kong hawakan." Haha I swear to GOD. I told him, "No touching talaga Brix ha, kung ayaw mong sipain ka ni Tish sa mga masasakit na lugar at tuluyan kang mawalan ng kabuhayan! Kita mo ba yung high heels nya?" Pero yun nga, nalasing na si Tish, as in shitfaced wipedout, and she completely missed the whole performance. We're like, "Tissshhhhh gising!" Brix still danced anyway, much to the delight of Milan. Hahaha! I love LOVE Milan!!!!!! Sya pinaka nag enjoy sa lahat!
Anyway, props to Victoria Court for their beautiful rooms and good party packages. Sarap pati ng food. If you're having a bridal shower, or a stag party, Victoria Court is the way to go. Ay, but I swear, party planning is NOT for me. I absolutely don't mind arranging parties for people I love, pero come party time I don't get to eat and I morph into this control freak ala Monica of Friends. Naakss feeling hostess with the mostest. No but seriously, I'm not cut out for party planning. It's just not the sort of stress I enjoy at all. Although in fairness to me ha, all the parties I arrange turn out really well. At the shower everyone was saying it was a great party! Yey yey! At the end of the day naman, that's really the most important thing.
Side kwento: while I was doing the ocular inspection, I saw practically all the rooms Victoria Court offers for such parties. They have an Austin Powers room, an X-Men room, and get this: they have an Oval Office room! Omigod, when I saw it, pucha mukha talagang Oval Office!!! Complete with rugs, hat stands, faux bookshelves and the mahogany desk! Gotta hand it to Victoria Court ha. They really went all the way, no pun intended.
