I can be the most embarrassing fangirl on earth I swear to God. Mia, control thyself! Artista-filled is one word I would describe my last few days. Tsaka na other descriptions and stories. Our theme for this entry is the kabaklaan of the past few days.

Celebrity sighting number one: Chiz Escudero!
I am disappointed with him for many reasons but nothing will change the fact that I have this silly, silly crush on Senator Chiz Escudero. He's not the cutest person on earth yes, but my god I love men who can talk! Walk the talk is another matter, pero this Chiz dude can really bring it on with both English AND Tagalog. Articulate equals sexy!

A friend of mine who works at ANC News Channel gave me his number and so OF COURSE I had to text him. I texted him on his birthday last year, when he was still Congressman. ("Happy Birthday Cong.Escudero! This country needs more people like you!") Sell-out ka Mia! But who cares? Buti di ko sinabi, "If you need more people for your Senatorial campaign, I'm young and single and for you Chiz darling, I can make my personality as pleasing as you want it to be!" Eww eww haha! I texted him again when he won the Senatorial elections. He replied on his birthday, but not during the elections. Haha asa ka pa Mia! Sino ka ba?!

Anyway so I was at Rockwell again, about to have my hair cut by Joseph of Basement Salon, and guess who I saw? SENATOR Escudero EATING ICE CREAM. ALONE. ON A BENCH IN FRONT OF ZARA. This Senator of the Republic of the Philippines was eating ice cream! Alone! I'm sure yung bodyguard nya umaaligid aligid lang don pero si Chiz lang magisang nakaupo sa bench. Nobody was minding the guy! I saw him while I was on the escalator going upstairs and I asked my mom kung pwede kaming picturan ni Chiz. Aba ayaw! Nakakahiya daw! I'm like, "Ma! Wala yon sa kanya noh!" Kasi daw baka magalit samin yung bodyguard nya. I'm like, hello?! You're a mommy! You look like a mommy! At ako, sa payat kong to, mukha ba tayong kayang manakit ng Senador?! But still my mom refused.

Shet. So what do I do? Eh di I text Chiz nalang. "Hi Senator! Is that you eating ice cream? I'm a huge fan! I voted for you in the last elections!"

And what do you know? Nag reply ang ating butihing Senador! After an hour or so, but still he replied. "Sorry for the late reply. Yes po " with matching smiley face. Wooohoooo!

And so I go, "Thank you for replying Sir! You made my day! God bless! Enjoy the rest of your afternoon!"

I can't believe I'm texting a freakin Senator. Senador ng bansa, nakikipagtext sa AKIN. Isang simpleng mamamayan. Tingnan mo nga naman yan.

Of course when I told my cousin, who's also an ardent Chiz admirer, she got so jealous. She told me "Baka naman secretary lang nya yan!" I'm like, you can say whatever you want, but the fact is, textmates na kami ni Chiz! Mwahahaha!

Anyway, celebrity hobnobbing number two and three: Matt Evans and Matteo Guidicelli


I was hosting this event for my former office, Pathways to Higher Education Program (details of event to be documented later!) and one of the sponsors of the event was Penshoppe. Part of the program was a talk with a mini fashion show courtesy of Penshoppe and the Club Pen models, made up of Matt Evans (Mr.Pendro Penduko guy), Matteo Guidicelli, Dawn Balagot and Melissa Ricks.

I don't actually watch Pendro Penduko but I do know who Matt Evans is. I've seen him on TV and I think he was part of Pinoy Big Brother once. Matteo naman (naks first name basis!) is an F1 driver. The other two girls, hmmm, I don't really know and don't really care. They were pretty though. Anyway, the guys were hot ah! Not hot like Jericho Rosales but cute in boyfriend-next-door-bring-home-to-mommy cute. Matt Evans had curly hair and Matteo is baby faced.

Anyway so I told my friend Nikko and Zsa Zsa, I'm not leaving this place without having my picture taken with them first! So take note, sa Music Hall ng MOA ang fashion show, at ang picture taking sa Penshoppe, sa main building. So I, along with my new gay friend Erik who was my co-host, and Nikko, hauled our asses of to the main building para lang magpapicture.

Celebrity sighting number four: Bb. Pilipinas Universe Ana Theresa Licaros

The second day of the said event of Pathways was a talk that featured Ms. Licaros. She's super tall, mga 5 feet nine inches and her skin is really nice. Mabuhay mga morena!!!! Anyway apparently she's my friend Carla's blockmate at UP Law. Pucha, she's Bb.Pilipinas Universe AND she's one of top students in her UP School of Law junior class. In fairness to her, mukha pa rin syang beauty queen! No trace of stress or whatnot. And yeah, she's really smart. Didn't have my picture taken with her though.


Celebrity sighting number five: I got to see bands such as Sound, Stonefree and the hilarious NU Rock Awards nominees Jeepney Joyride. Fine, I don't know their songs but they are famous in some circles so I shall include them here. This guy to the left here is the lead singer of Jeepney Joyride.

So those were my celebrity sightings for the week. Shet, E was supposed to play for Sharon Cuneta's new endorsement daw but his sked got mixed up. Tangena yan! Ate Shawieeee! If I ever see her, I will tell her I love her.

My dream Pinoy celebrity sightings would be: Ate Vi (I saw her once pala, at a Pathways event also and may dala dala talaga syang panyo. Sandali lang yon though, didn't get the chance to be the annoying fangirl) the legend Pepe Smith and siguro John Lloyd Cruz. Hehe.

P.S. I wanted to say Kris Aquino, but I'm sorry, nakita ko na po sya. We practically shared a moment. Well, more like a waiting shed. One day, back when I was still in college, I was sitting there at the waiting shed at Ateneo, bad trip because I was so hungry and my ride was nowhere to be found. Who do I suddenly see walking towards me? Aba, Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda and the cast of Today With Kris! (the now-defunct show of Kris Aquino). They said they wanted me to be an extra in the show kasi it will feature PBA superstar Vince Hizon, who is an Atenean. The show was about celebrities who were still in school. They wanted me to pretend like I'm Vince Hizon's classmate. I'm like, " Sure!" Pucha it was so surreal. Anyway Kris goes, "You know, I like your jeans. Can you stand up?" So tayo naman ang gaga. "Can you turn around? What brand is that?" Pinaikot ako at umikot naman ako!!! "They're so nice!" says Kris. I'm like, thanks! The jeans are from Folded and Hung by the way. In a few minutes, dumating na si Vince Hizon and there, we pretended we were classmates, reading through the green book of Marriage and Sexuality theology readings.
